Begin the day with a local sightseeing tour of Munnar after breakfast. This city is 1600 metres above sea level and is located at the confluence of three mountain streams: Kundale, Nallathanni, and Mudrapuzha. This magnificent highland station was previously the British government's summer retreat in South India. After that visit to Tata Tea Museum (closed on Monday), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Photo Point, and in the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park closed during January to March due to breeding season) to observe the rarest type of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars".
