Kashmir
Why This Kashmir Package Works
Real time in each destination, not a rushed checklist — 2 nights in both Srinagar and Pahalgam means you're not sightseeing and packing on the same afternoon.
A private vehicle for the entire trip — every transfer and sightseeing day is private, which matters on Kashmir's winding hill roads where a shared itinerary can mean long waits for other passengers.
A dedicated free day in Pahalgam — Day 4 is left open specifically so you can choose your own pace: relax, walk the Lidder River, or arrange an optional excursion to Betaab Valley or Aru Valley without it being forced into an already packed day.
The Gulmarg Gondola is genuinely one of the highlights, not an afterthought — a two-stage cable car climbing toward Apharwat Peak, among the highest-altitude cable car rides anywhere in the world.
A Dal Lake Shikara ride included in the package — one of the most-searched, most-photographed Kashmir experiences, covered rather than left as a separate cost.
Runs every single day — no fixed group departure dates, so you can book against your own travel window.
Straightforward taxation — 5% GST is disclosed upfront, with no other hidden charges baked into the price.
Upon landing at Srinagar Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport. Check in at the House Boat or Hotel. In the evening, you relish a shikara ride on the globally recognised Dal Lake, where you discover the floating vegetable gardens and Open Dal Lake. There are numerous bird species to see while riding the Shikaras, including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe, and others.

Kashmir doesn't need much convincing — it's one of the most consistently searched-for domestic holiday destinations in India, and for good reason. This 5 Nights 6 Days Kashmir tour package covers the three places every first-time visitor wants to see: Srinagar for its lakes and Mughal gardens, Pahalgam for its river valleys and pine forests, and Gulmarg for its high-altitude meadows and one of the world's highest cable car rides. The split — 2 nights Srinagar, 2 nights Pahalgam, 1 night Gulmarg — is built to give each destination proper time rather than rushing through all three in a blur.
Every stay in this package is a 4-star hotel, breakfast is included daily, and every transfer and sightseeing leg runs on a private vehicle — no shared coaches, no waiting on other travellers. A Shikara ride on Dal Lake is part of the package, giving you an evening on Kashmir's most iconic body of water without needing to arrange it separately.
This is a genuinely well-rounded first Kashmir trip: enough sightseeing to cover the essentials (Shankaracharya Temple, Hazratbal Shrine, the Mughal gardens, Gulmarg's Gondola), enough leisure time built in (a full free day in Pahalgam) to avoid burnout, and enough flexibility with optional add-ons (pony rides, Betaab Valley, Aru Valley) for travellers who want to go further off the standard route. Departures are available every day of the year, so there's no fixed slot to plan around.

Land at Srinagar's Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport and transfer to your hotel or houseboat for check-in. In the evening, take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, gliding past the lake's famous floating vegetable gardens and open water stretches. Dal Lake is also a genuinely good spot for birdwatching from the boat — kingfishers, little bitterns, common pariah kites, and grebes are all regularly spotted along the way. Overnight in Srinagar.
A full day covering Srinagar's best-known sights, starting with the Shankaracharya Temple, perched on a hilltop with sweeping views over the city and Dal Lake. From there, visit the Hazratbal Shrine, set on the western shore of Dal Lake — notable for being the only major shrine in Srinagar with a domed roof rather than the pagoda-style roofs typical of the city's other mosques — followed by the historic Jamia Masjid in the heart of the old city. In the afternoon, the itinerary moves through Srinagar's celebrated Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh ("Garden of Pleasure"), laid out in 1633 by Asif Khan; Shalimar Bagh ("Garden of Love"), built in 1619 by Emperor Jahangir for his wife Nur Jahan; and Chashme Shahi ("The Royal Spring"), a smaller terraced garden long favoured by Kashmir's royalty and picnickers alike. Overnight in Srinagar.
Transfer from Srinagar to Pahalgam, known historically as the "Valley of Shepherds." En route, there's an opportunity to stop at local saffron fields — Kashmir is one of the very few places in the world where saffron is commercially grown — and see the region's traditional bat-making industry (Kashmir willow is famous for cricket bats). On arrival in Pahalgam, spend time walking along the Lidder River, which runs through the town. Pahalgam is a well-known Bollywood filming location and remains a favoured health resort, with a mix of traditional huts and modern private hotels. It's also the starting point for several regional treks, including the well-known 35-km route through pine forests to Kolahoi Glacier. Dinner and overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Optional (own arrangement): excursions to Chandanwadi (3,288m), Betaab Valley, and Aru Valley — the latter marking the source of the Sheshnag River, framed by snow-capped peaks and dense pine and deodar forest — are commonly arranged locally, either by hired cab or pony ride. Pony operators hold exclusive access rights in parts of Gulmarg and Pahalgam, which is why vehicle access is limited in these two areas; your driver, tour manager, or local guide's advice is worth following closely here.
After breakfast, the day is entirely free. This is deliberately left open — use it to rest, explore Pahalgam at your own pace, or arrange one of the optional Day 3 excursions (Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, or Chandanwadi) if you didn't fit it in already. Dinner and overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Transfer from Pahalgam to Gulmarg, sitting at roughly 8,700 feet and known as the "Meadow of Flowers." Once there, the highlight of the day is the Gulmarg Gondola — a two-stage cable car and one of the highest-altitude ropeways in the world, climbing toward Apharwat Peak and capable of moving over 600 people an hour between stations. Gondola tickets are subject to availability and are payable separately unless specifically included in your booking. Dinner and overnight stay in Gulmarg.
An early breakfast, then check out and begin the drive back to Srinagar in time for your onward flight — bringing the trip to a close with a final stretch of Kashmir's mountain scenery.

No, Gondola tickets are subject to availability and are payable separately unless specifically confirmed as included in your booking.
Gulmarg is typically visited as a shorter, high-altitude add-on to a Kashmir itinerary, centred mainly around the Gondola ride and the meadows — most travellers find one night sufficient to cover the highlights before heading back to Srinagar for departure.
March to May offers spring blooms, June to August is the most popular season for pleasant weather across all three destinations, September to November brings autumn colours, and December to February is best for snow and skiing in Gulmarg, though weather can affect some sightseeing during winter.
All transfers and sightseeing in this package run on a private vehicle basis — you won't be sharing your vehicle with other travellers.
Yes, these are commonly arranged locally as optional add-ons at your own expense, either by hiring a local cab or taking a pony ride, since vehicle access to some of these points is limited.
