Two nights settle you in on the sand; your final night lifts you onto the lagoon itself, so you leave having experienced both sides of a Maldives holiday rather than just one.

You'll be staying at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma, set on its own island in the South Malé Atoll, around 35 km — a scenic 40 to 45-minute speedboat ride — from Velana International Airport. Every meal is covered on a genuine full board basis, so breakfast, lunch, and dinner are sorted from the moment you land to the moment you check out, and both your airport transfers are included as part of the package. You'll also have full run of the resort's pool, gym, and Kids' Club for the length of your stay.

Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Touchdown in the Maldives — On to Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma

Your flight lands at Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, where the resort's team picks you up for the speedboat crossing to Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma — a relaxed 40 to 45 minutes across the South Malé Atoll that doubles as your first real look at the water you'll be spending the next three days in. Check into your Beach Villa, tucked into the island's greenery just steps from the sand, and let the rest of the day be unstructured: nap off the flight, ease into the beach, or simply walk the island's edge as the light changes. Dinner is served at the resort. Overnight at the Beach Villa.

Day 2: A Full Island Day, Your Way

Breakfast is a proper spread at Kandooma Café, and from there the day is entirely open. Most guests split their time between snorkelling at the island's house reef — close enough to reach without any real effort — and one of the resort's paid extras: jet ski, kayaking, or paddleboarding for the more active, or a session at Kandooma Spa if slowing down further is more the point. Since this is your only full free day on the island, it's worth building in time for the beach at sunset, which is consistently one of the better views on the property. Dinner is served under the stars. Overnight at the Beach Villa.

Day 3: The Move to the Water Villa

After breakfast, check out of the Beach Villa and cross over to your Water Villa — the part of the trip most people picture when they imagine the Maldives in the first place. Direct lagoon access, uninterrupted sunrise views, and a private sundeck where the only real decision is whether to swim now or later. Because this is your one night overwater, it's worth making it count: a Sunset Dolphin Cruise or a private beach dinner can both be arranged at extra cost, and either is a genuinely memorable way to close out the trip. Dinner is served at the resort. Overnight at the Water Villa.

Day 4: Departure

An early breakfast, a last look at the lagoon from your deck, and then check-out — followed by your speedboat transfer back to Velana International Airport (Malé) in time for your flight home. Short as the trip is, you'll be leaving with both a beach stay and an overwater night behind you.

Pricing Notes

• The package cost includes 5% GST.
• TCS (Tax Collected at Source) of 2% applies on the total tour cost per Indian government regulations on overseas tour packages, and is adjustable against your income tax liability when filing returns.
• This package is available for booking on any day of the year — there are no fixed group departure dates.
• Any personal expenses, optional activities (water sports, spa treatments, the Sunset Dolphin Cruise, private beach dinners), or services not listed in the inclusions are payable directly by the traveller.

Booking Terms & Policies

Cancellation Policy

• This package is non-refundable. Once booked, the full amount is retained in case of cancellation.
• If part of the trip has to be cancelled due to unforeseen events (bad weather, strikes, government restrictions), Vacationum will try to offer an alternative, but a cash refund cannot be guaranteed in these cases.

Date Change Policy

• This package is non-changeable. Travel dates cannot be rescheduled once booked.

Refund Policy

• Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 10–15 working days and credited to your Vacationum wallet as Vcash — not back to your original payment method.

Payment Policy

• If booking at least 3 months before departure, you can choose to pay in parts.
• 100% of the total tour cost must be paid 30 days before the date of travel.

Confirmation Policy

1. You'll receive an email confirmation after your initial payment.
2. Your booking is fully confirmed only once 100% payment is received.
3. On full payment, you'll receive your official booking voucher — covering your itinerary, hotel vouchers, and activity confirmations.

Good to Know Before You Travel

• Making the most of a short trip: with only one full free day (Day 2) before the villa changeover, it's worth deciding in advance whether snorkelling, a water sport, or the spa is the priority — trying to fit in all three on a single day is possible but rushed.
• Visa: Indian passport holders (along with virtually all nationalities) receive a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival in the Maldives — no advance application or approval is required, just a valid passport and return/onward ticket.
• Currency and spending money: while the official currency is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR), resorts including Kandooma typically bill in US Dollars, and cards are accepted for most on-resort extras.
• Best time to visit: November to April is the dry season — calmer seas and better visibility, and generally the busier booking window. May to October brings the southwest monsoon, with more rain and choppier water, though rates can be more favourable.
• What to pack: reef-safe sunscreen matters here specifically, since you'll likely be snorkelling on the house reef; pack light and breathable, plus a change of clothes suited to the Water Villa's open-air bathroom on your last night.
